About

morning in the Napa valley

Welcome to The Younger Wine, a blog created by me to document the world of wine through my lens as I learn and navigate it. I am a writer, winemaker, and recent graduate of the Viticulture & Enology program at UC Davis.

The world of wine, especially in Napa Valley, can be an intimidating one – there is so much tradition and so much to be learned that it can be overwhelming at times. Just in this little valley there are over 400 wineries and hundreds of amazing restaurants with extensive wine lists… where do you start? I wanted to create The Younger Wine as a place to collect all of the gems I’ve learned and share it with young people who are just as obsessed with wine as I am and want to learn more about the inner-workings of the industry.

I recently left my job in winemaking production in Napa Valley to pursue my years-long dream of moving to France. I am now working toward my Master’s degree in Luxury Brand Management and taking advantage of all the wine and cheese France has to offer.

Millennials and Gen Z consumers are constantly inundated with information on every platform about how to buy and drink wine. There is a lot of misleading information out there not rooted in scientific fact. With this site I hope to combat that with true information about wine without the fluff.

I love writing and I love wine, and this blog is a place to combine the two. In addition to talking about my personal experiences working on the production side of the industry, I want to hopefully provide insight into buying wine in your day-to-day life with my wine reviews. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy!
